Action must be taken against corruption

Mlambo-Ngcuka also says action must be taken against civil servants who are involved in corruption. She says it is not enough that these activities are reported and no action is taken. The deputy president says people who see an opportunity to defraud the State and enrich themselves with money intended for poor people must be dealt with.

Mlambo-Ngcuka says: "That, again, is even a higher level of immorality which cannot be tolerated and must be rooted out. This is corruption at the highest order and therefore I am calling upon you to be whistle blowers. Where you see it report it. But when it has been reported, it must be acted upon, because it is not enough to report it, it is the action that follows." SABC
