Former Western Cape environment minister David Malatsi on Tuesday denied lying in court to protect his co-accused, former provincial premier Peter Marais.
'I'm not protecting Mr Marais'He also denied Marais had instructed him to make "the right decision" on the proposed Roodefontein golf estate on the outskirts of Plettenberg Bay.
The two men face corruption charges stemming from donations totalling R400 000 to the New National Party in 2002 by would-be developer Count Riccardo Agusta.
